![]() 2012 is over. As you consider the trials and triumphs of the past 12 months, are you encouraged or frustrated? Do you stand in amazement or fight against self-pity and doubt. For me, I am hesitant to admit to a little of both perspectives. Either way, the next few moments are open to wonder. It is amidst that wonder, that all of us, myself included must re-evaluate our game plan for the new year. I need to look at the vision and make sure we are in the right place. Heading in the right direction. Moving forward in confidence. More than ever, church and church organizations must do the same "Where there is no vision the people perish." - Proverbs 29:18. “The very essence of leadership is that you have to have vision. It’s got to be a vision you articulate clearly and forcefully on every occasion. You can’t blow an uncertain trumpet.” — Father Theodore Hesburgh Pray for the senior pastors of our churches and the top leadership of the various denominations and fellowships that exist. Pray that their vision would be God-ordained and inspired. Pray that the vision would be grounded in Scripture. Pray that pastors and leadership would be able to articulate passionately and inspire staff and congregations alike to press on towards the High Calling. As with Nehemiah and the rebuilding of the wall, Pray that pastor would realize the great work that they are doing and not give way to whatever would tempt, lure or distract them from the successful completion of their ministry.
