Counting Down

The countdown to 2016 is here. And in the remaining days and hours, i can't help but consider how quickly things need to happen and come together, so that one chapter can properly close in preparation for the new one that awaits. Things get crazy and frenzy and dicey and it becomes easy for things to get missed and over-looked.

It happens to best of us. And to the worst of us, just more often. You think it's all there and it's getting all done and every once in awhile, the "miss" happens. At that moment, grace is needed. And given.

So, on this #effectiveSunday, pray that in the closing of 2015, churches and pastors would accomplish much in the tasks and operations that need to be completed. Pray, in this transition, people would recognize the opportunity to start afresh in Christ, closing out a chapter they would rather forget. May the power of God and the hope of Christ change lives, as people encounter an effective church that points people to Him.

Effective ministry. Efficient operations. For the glory of God and the cause of Jesus Christ.
